ISO/IEC 42001 and the AI Management System standard.
The first international, certifiable standard for an AI Management System and how Kynexa approaches it.
What it is
ISO/IEC 42001 is the first international, certifiable standard for an AI Management System (AIMS): a structured way for an organization to govern how it develops, deploys and operates AI responsibly. Where principle-based frameworks describe what good looks like, ISO/IEC 42001 is auditable: an accredited body can certify conformance, with periodic surveillance.
Why it matters for your AI program
For enterprise buyers, ISO/IEC 42001 is becoming the procurement signal that a vendor governs its own AI to a defined, audited standard, not just by assertion. For an AI-governance platform, it's doubly relevant: the standard is the discipline we help customers operate, applied to ourselves.
Kynexa's approach
ISO/IEC 42001 certification is on our roadmap. In the meantime, Kynexa is built around the controls the standard expects: documented policy, human oversight, risk assessment, lineage and audit and continuous evaluation. Our platform also helps customers operationalize an AIMS: policy authoring and simulation, immutable audit and explainable lineage map directly to AIMS evidence requirements.
How Kynexa helps you meet it
Centralized, auditable policy
Over data, agents, memory and RAG.
Immutable audit trails
As conformance evidence.
Explainable lineage
For every AI output.
Policy simulation
To assess changes before they take effect.
